Our experienced tour guide will take you to some of the most famous sights in Istanbul, including the Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome Square, Basilica Cistern, and the Blue Mosque. You’ll also have the chance to explore the Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar, where you can shop for souvenirs and try some delicious local food. This tour will last a total of 16 hours over the course of two days.
Our tour will begin at the iconic Hagia Sophia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the greatest architectural wonders of the world. Built in the 6th century, the Hagia Sophia was once a Greek Orthodox cathedral, before being converted into an imperial mosque and then a museum. You’ll have the chance to marvel at its stunning interior, including the beautiful mosaics and the grand dome.
Next, we’ll visit the Hippodrome Square, where chariot races and other public events were once held. Here, you can see the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpent Column, and the Column of Constantine.
Then, we’ll take a short walk to the Basilica Cistern, an underground chamber built in the 6th century to store water for the city. The cistern is an amazing feat of engineering, with its 336 columns and intricate brickwork.
Afterwards, we’ll visit the Blue Mosque, one of the most famous landmarks in Istanbul. With its six minarets and intricate blue tile work, the mosque is a stunning example of Ottoman architecture.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the Topkapi Palace, the former imperial residence of the Ottoman sultans. You’ll have the chance to see the stunning palace grounds and the priceless collections of art and artifacts.
Finally, we’ll visit the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world. With over 3,000 shops, the bazaar is a shopper’s paradise, offering everything from carpets and jewelry to spices and souvenirs.
On the second day of our tour, we’ll visit the Spice Bazaar, where you can explore the vibrant colors and scents of the various spices on offer. Then, we’ll visit the Dolmabahçe Palace, a stunning 19th-century palace that was once the home of the Ottoman sultans.
Next, we’ll visit Taksim Square, the bustling heart of modern Istanbul. Then, we’ll explore Istiklal Street, a popular pedestrian street lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes.
We’ll also visit the Çiçek Pasaji, an indoor flower market that is over 100 years old. Finally, we’ll see the Galata Tower from the outside, before ending the day with a sunset cruise on a luxury yacht.
